Support Team

When you arrive, you will be picked up by one of our dedicated staff.

Meet Your Case Manager: Your main point of contact, she’ll be there to guide you every step of the way, including doctor appointments, activities, and grocery shopping.

Dedicated Support Team: Our adoption support team will be there to answer your questions, clarify paperwork, and assist in matching you with the perfect adoptive family.

Preparing to Come

Support Person: Bringing a support person is optional, but if you do, they’ll need to care for your children during activities and hospital stays. We also offer childcare services if needed.

Health Insurance: Please bring your medical insurance information for a smooth medical plan while in Utah.

Packing Essentials: Don’t worry about essentials! Your apartment will have a washer/dryer, basic household items, and nearby grocery stores.

Weather Considerations:  Pack accordingly for the season. While Utah enjoys mild weather most of the year, November to March can be colder, so pack a warm coat and boots. Evenings can always cool off, so bring a jacket for any season. Even though Utah gets cold, it is also typically a dry climate. You might need lotion and lip balm.

Travel Arrangements

We Cover Your Travel: Heart to Heart Adoptions will pay for your round-trip travel to Utah, including any minor children accompanying you.

Baggage and Liquids: Feel free to bring along one checked bag per ticket—just give us a heads up in advance. When it comes to carry-on liquids, keep them under 3 ounces. If you’ve got larger-sized liquids, go ahead and stash them in your checked bags. Easy, right?

Airport Arrival for Flight to Utah: Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Arrive at the airport two hours before your flight. We can arrange a ride to the airport if needed.

Upon Landing: Your case manager will be at the Salt Lake City Airport to welcome you and assist in getting settled into your new apartment. When the time comes for your departure, after you’ve had the chance to recover from giving birth, we’ll get you back to the airport hassle-free.

Your Stay

Weekly Allowance: You’ll receive a weekly allowance for groceries and essentials. Budget wisely to make it last. We can help with your monthly phone bill if needed.

Matching with a Family: Our team will work diligently to find the perfect adoptive family based on your preferences. You have complete control over the level of openness you desire with the family.

Doctor and Birth Plan: Our adoption-friendly doctor will provide excellent care and support throughout your pregnancy. We’ll collaborate with you on your birth plan, ensuring your choices are respected.

Post-Delivery Stay: After delivery, you can stay in our apartment for up to ten days. We’ll arrange your travel home and provide post-confinement funds for your well-being.

We provide activities for all our local birth mothers. Depending on the season, these include:
