Adoption of Ethiopian Boy Highlights Why LOVE Makes A Family

Anyone who is part of a loving family may not realize what a blessing they have. This story about Anwar, a young boy from Ethiopia who was just adopted by a Utah family, highlights what a blessing it is for a child to live in a loving and caring family.

Anwar never knew his mother, and when he was seven, his extended family in Ethiopia kicked him out because they could not afford to feed and clothe him. He begged for food during the day and at night took refuge in a bamboo tree.

“I came to the city to become a street kid. The other boys would kick me every night,” explained Anwar through a translator.

He faced abuse on the streets and would often go days without anything to eat.
